“In Their Eyes”
(A poem for Muslim parents)
In tiny hands and hopeful eyes,
A trust from Allah, a precious prize.
A soul so pure, a heart so wide,
A gift to cherish, a path to guide.
They watch us close, they learn our ways,
In silent moments and busy days.
Our words, our smiles, our every prayer,
Shape the hearts entrusted to our care.
Teach them faith, both firm and bright,
A love for Allah, a guiding light.
Show them mercy, calm and true,
Like the Messenger ﷺ taught us to do.
Let patience be your steady friend,
Through every trial, until the end.
In kindness let your lessons live,
For what you model, they will give.
Correct with care, not with fear,
Let every word bring wisdom near.
Mistakes will come, as they must,
So raise them gently, teach them trust.
And as they grow, let them see,
What it means to live faithfully.
Not perfect souls, but hearts that strive,
To walk with truth and keep faith alive.
So hold them close, yet let them grow,
And nurture what their hearts will know.
For in your hands, their roots begin,
A journey strong, a life within.
