Good Night Everyone I just took the first step to a new journey an converted this afternoon I’m excited an nervous but anything’s possible in the name Allah
Same mate but im expected to copy these arbic phrases i have no understanding of or know how to or what they mean il just nod at the sky until taught correctly my family are not muslim where is guidence? Say this say what what am i saying?
Assalamu alaykom wa rahma’tullah wa barakatuh, [may peace and blessings of Allah be on you], everything starts out with a little difficulty, a new job – you learn it though so that you can earn a good wage, in fact everything you have ever done in life, or will do, requires a measure of input from you. This is the most beautiful and beneficial pathway of learning that you will ever undertake and it will not end really, until you return to Allah subhana wa t’ala. And that is okay. The very best things are worth the striving and struggle. And this struggle brings you eternal peace and reward, and happiness. Imagine how hard you would need to work to go to the best holiday destination in the world, where you could do whatever you want, and where you will eat the best, and be surrounded by enthusiastic and dedicated people – even the staff. You’d work hard, you would learn a few key phrases just so that you could make your stay more pleasurable and know how to get to where you want to be, right? And you would work hard and save to get there. Well, this is to god, and with the help of God – you wont be alone to take and pass the tests of life, and nowadays we have so many resources for learning about islam, including Arabic, and how to pray etc… and in Jannah, you will be so pleased you put all your effort into getting there, and you know what? No matter what you face in this life now, you will find you are able to deal in a different way insha Allah, and that no matter what comes, you have Allah, and He is with you always, He has got your back, in fact your everything. Fi amanillah
Walaykom salam wa rahma’tullah wa barakatuh, may Allah lead you throughout your life, and guide you always to that which pleases Him the most, and grant you Jannah al firdaus, ameen.
Salaam alaikum, I would like to find out does the number of units refer to steps whereby we raise our hand’s shoulder height to sit up straight only(meaning you repeat this portion of the prayer 2, 3, or 4 times) or the entire prayer as explained in the video lesson?
I have two wrong this is very helpful I have a lot to learn I’m very happy and appreciate that they have this site available for me and others to learn thank you
Congratulations Br. Leif. Please take the salah course and all the other NMA courses and live sessions, in particular, Practice Makes Perfect, which is a live session. If you have a local Islamic center and feel comfortable in visiting that would be great too. Don’t worry about not speaking Arabic yet. NMA also has Quran lessons and Arabic for free as well.
I need to learn to do Salah well. Can you help us with an electronic book or PDF to help us remember every sentence and movement during Salah? Additionally, can I enrol in Quran Recitation classes to learn how to perform Salah?
I’m with you! New Muslim convert amd trying to get a hang of the Arabic language.. it’s a struggle to say the least but keep pushing forward and having faith Inshallah we will all get there!
Is it ok to let a video of the prayers play while we learn to say the words? I can easily do it in English, but I am aware that Arabic is best. Is it better to pray incorrectly while trying to learn, or to not pray at all, because mistakes would be sinful? Thank you.
Learn how you need I am new and find it hard even remember the English translations
I have epilepsy but I do my best
Not sure if I give best advice
But if we can chat feel free to talk
Assalamualaykum DeAndre, I use https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ABW6HTxm8A, the recitation is the same as in these videos and there are videos for each daily prayer, even my kids learned their salah with this
